Antwerp, Belgium - 1966
It all started in 1966 in the heart of Antwerp. Our bakery began with a passion for preserving tradition and serving the local Jewish community. Our family bakery used a cherished recipe passed down through generations to capture the essence of authentic Belgian egg kichels – a crispy, light treat enjoyed at kiddush, Shabbat meals, and community celebrations. For decades, our bakery became a cornerstone of the community, bringing people together over the simple joy of good food.
Brooklyn, NY - 2008
In 2008, our journey took an exciting turn. Due to growing demand in the United States, we opened a new bakery location in Brooklyn, NY. From the moment our egg kichels arrived, they became a huge success, resonating with Jewish communities across the U.S. What began in Antwerp as a way to connect over traditional treats now spread across the ocean, bringing a taste of heritage to countless tables in America.
A Journey of Tradition
Our egg kichels are still crafted with the same care and dedication that began in Antwerp. Using secret techniques and flavoring passed down through generations, each batch is baked fresh daily in both our Belgian and Brooklyn, NY locations. This careful process preserves the authentic crisp texture and flavor that makes every bite special. Whether at kiddush, Shabbat meals, or family celebrations, our egg kichels continue to bring joy and a sense of tradition to every gathering.
Today, our bakery is more than just a business – it’s a symbol of connection, heritage, and the timeless joy of sharing good food. We are proud to bring people together, to help celebrate life’s special moments with the taste of tradition, and to create memories that last for generations. Our journey, which started in a small bakery in Antwerp, continues with every bite, every gathering, and every cherished moment.
